I was accepted as a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2010 after two years practical experience and an assessment of professional competence.

I worked as a commercial building surveyor in local government for 12 years, 5 of them at senior level.

Prior to this I was an electronics engineer specialising in assembly quality.
